Other Fence Types

Commercial • Industrial • Public Infrastructure

Colorbond Fences & Gates

Colorbond provides a full coverage solution in a long lasting material. Colorbond fences and gates are commonly used in commercial and industrial properties, residential complexes and domestic properties.

Colorbond fencing products come with a 10 year warranty, and a range of 2 styles and over 20 colour options.

Because Colorbond fences are modular systems, installation is quicker and easier than most other fencing systems.

All components of Colorbond fences are designed to fit together.

After the posts are installed, rails fit neatly into them and panels are put into place and locked in with the top rail.

Timber Fences & Gates

Timber Fencing provides a full coverage fencing solution using a long lasting natural product. There are many configurations available for timber fencing with different options around posts, rails and palings.

The most common height for a Timber fence is 1800mm.

Timber fences lower than 1800mm tend to be post and rail fences, possibly with Chainwire inserted between the two horizontal rails (refer to our attached example pic)

Timber fences higher than 1800mm tend to go into acoustic type fences.

Aluminium Slat Fencing

Powdercoated Aluminium fencing looks good and is long lasting.

Standard pool fencing panels are made of Aluminium, but Aluminium is used for other applications, such as: Slat fencing, garden and boundary fencing, balustrading and feature panels.

Aluminium slats (often 65mm, 90mm or 100mm wide) provide a great look.

Slats can be either horizontal (more popular) or vertical.

An aluminium slat fence or gate is made to measure in that you can decide the width of the slats and the size of the gap between slats.

For maximum privacy, you can have the slats butted up against each other. A popular gap size is between 15mm and 20mm.

Aluminium Fencing Design

Aluminium fences are generally made up of panels fixed between posts.

Aluminium fence panels commonly have a flat top design (38mm x 25mm aluminium top rail), or have pickets coming through the top rail in a “picket top” style.

Vertical pickets are commonly 16mm or 19mm round pickets or 20mm square pickets.

When designing an aluminium fence, another factor to consider is the space you would like between pickets.

Standard pool panels have an approx. 90mm space between pickets. A wider spacing (say 100mm or 110mm) is also an option, however its good to keep in mind that closer picket spacings provides a more solid fence. Check also rules for pool safety compliance.

There are a number of decorative aluminium fence panels designs available. Contact us for more information.
